Heteroclinus macrophthalmus, known commonly as the Large-eye weedfish or the Tasselled weedfish in Australia,[1] is a species of clinid in the genus Heteroclinus.[2] It is a temperate blenny found around southern Australia, in the eastern Indian Ocean.[2] It was named by Douglas F. Hoese in 1976,[3] and can reach a maximum length of 10 centimetres.[2]
